ARR, contracts, and renewal tracking
How financial data flows from contracts up to the account, and how renewal dates drive alerts.
Contracts, ARR & renewals
Financial data lives on the account's Contracts tab.
How ARR and renewal date are set
- With contracts: once an account has one or more contracts, its ARR and renewal date roll up automatically from the Active contracts — you don't type them by hand. Add a contract with + New Contract and give it a term, ARR, and product line items (from the product catalog).
- Without contracts: until a contract exists, ARR and renewal date are the values maintained directly on the account (Add/Edit Customer).
Renewals and churn
Renewal dates drive dashboard alerts and renewal Actions, and the pipeline is tracked on the Opportunities tab and the Renewals page. To record a mid-term churn, use Cancel… on an active contract — it logs the churn (with a reason and Voluntary/Involuntary type) to the renewal ledger.
Tip
Accurate contract dates are what make the renewal motion work — an expired or wrong renewal date means the renewal Action fires at the wrong time.
