Creating your first journey
Build a journey on the canvas — trigger, steps, branches — and activate it.
Building a journey
In the Automation Hub → Lifecycle Journeys tab, click + New Journey. The builder has four steps:
- Details — name and describe the journey.
- Enrollment — choose what enrolls a customer: a Segment Match, a lifecycle Stage Change, Renewal Approaching, Matches Criteria, and more. You can require CSM approval before anyone is enrolled.
- Canvas — drag steps onto the visual canvas and wire them together:
- Email (from a template or custom, with
{{merge}}fields) - Wait (fixed) or Wait for Signal (until something happens, up to a max)
- Create Action, Survey, Condition (branches into true/false paths), Webhook, or AI Agent
- Review — check the enrollment stats, then click Activate Journey.
Tips
Start simple — a 3-step onboarding welcome — and add branching once it's working. A journey with active enrollments can't be deleted; pause it first.
