Creating a success plan
Set objectives, assign owners and dates, and structure success criteria that resonate with your champion.
Success plans
A Success Plan is the shared, outcome-oriented plan for an account. See all plans on the Success Plans page, or work one on an account's Success Plan tab.
Creating a plan
Click New Plan (or + New Plan on the account tab). Pick the account, then choose:
- Create Manually — set a Plan Title, Owner, Start and Target dates, and add at least one objective.
- From Template — start from a shipped best-practice plan and tailor it.
- Generate with AI — let Velsano draft a plan from the account's real data for you to review.
The building blocks
- Objectives are the WHAT — the outcomes the customer wants. An objective is an Action of type *Objective*, so it lives in the same work model as everything else and opens in the work-item drawer.
- Tasks / playbook steps are the HOW — the work under an objective. Attaching a playbook seeds these automatically.
- Outcome metrics close the loop: when you set an objective's baseline, target, and current values, its progress is computed from the metric, not a manual percentage.
Status, on-track score & health
A plan has a lifecycle Status (Draft → Active → Completed / Cancelled), a computed On-track score (execution — *not* the customer health score), and an optional internal Health label. New plans start Draft; click Activate plan to make it live.
